Elders' gathering
It was an amazing evening. Each year as we gather we review the highlights of where we've watched God working throughout the past year. We talk about where we anticipate God leading us in the coming year. And, we each respond to three questions:
1. What was your deepest experience of joy this past year?
2. What was your biggest challenge this past year?
3. What are you most looking forward to in the coming year?
It always amazes me at the authentic depth to which people are willing to respond to these three simple questions. As we close out this year I'll use this formula in several gatherings. If you're having a Christmas party or simply on your own, I would encourage you to take time to reflect with others about your responses.

Dinner for 22, what was on the menu?
:-)
simple questions but yeah, really thought provoking when you realize you've been just running on the hamster wheel of life for a while. Life is too short not to consider it.
most joyous moment this year was th Browns beating Pittsburgh
One of my most joyous moments came yesterday and Saturday night as my wife and I and our families got to see our daughter Faith sing in church for the first time. She had been so nervous leading up to her big day and when it was her turn she did an awesome job and made all of us proud. My prayer is that she would always use her voice to glorify and honor our Lord. Psalm 34:1
Hey David,
Your daughter was amazing this past weekend! I'm praying for her as well. It was incredible watching her keep her eyes on you the entire time she was singing.
