Day 8

WE MADE IT!!!!

The entire group made it!! How wonderful to be at the top of Africa at sunrise! We arrived at the first summit at 6:00 am (Tanzanian time) and then went on to the second summit and reached it at 6:45 am!

It was scary and trecherous and grueling and icy and freezing and thrilling all at the same time!

We went back down to Kibo Hut to rest for a short while. We will continue to Horombo Hut where we will spend the night tonight.

Thank you for all your prayers. Our God is an Awesome God!!!

Congratulations! I knew you could do it! Awesome job raising even more money for the cottages-the children are very lucky to have people like you so vested in their lives.

I can only imagine that seeing Africa from the summit of that mountain made you even more amazed that God created such an awesome place. He truly is amazing and wonderful!

Be safe coming home.

Pastor Greg,(and Tom)
Thanks for being the man you are and for setting 'new heights' to those who follow you. Many lives will be changed by your actions and most importantly you are not simply building huts, you are building God's kingdom.

Agape,

John & Lucia
