The climbing bug

My climbing partner, Tom Patton, and I have been experiencing the climbing bug once again. Sooo, we've been researching some potential mountains to climb.

Of course we had to check out Everest . . . absolute insanity.

For instance, guess how much it costs to climb the world's highest peak? $65,000!!! And that doesn't include your travel expenses to and from Nepal.

And, guess how long this little excursion takes? 2 months!!!

Not happening any time in the near future . . .

Ok ...that's creepy that you're not ruling it out! ....you said it wouldn't happen anytime in the "near future". ....that could be next year or later? Don't forget to call Dan....he wants to go too!! I used to think it would be awesome , until I had a child.......now the choice seems ridiculous! LINDY

C'mon dude - at 29,028 feet that's only $2.24 per foot! Go for it.

I enjoyed hiking at Yosemite National Park. Some of the snow melt waterfalls are outstanding. Half Dome is an awesome day hike up and down. While not a major climb like your last one, Yosemite has several different chalenging day hikes in altitude. They can be done on short notice.

I have to agree with Wayne about Yosemite. It is not a major climb but I challenge you to find more beautiful hikes anywhere.

And yes, it is creepy that you're not ruling out Everest. Rule it out right now. NOW! While you have people who love you alive in this world, you should go climbing on that. Read Into Think Air again. And don't be silly.

How about coming back out to Colorado and visiting your Compassion Family... someone here can take you for a hike on the incline, the back side of Pikes Peak... anything that you want... and I bet they come free.
